Karen Coopple: Teaching Children to Own Their Spaces
For 40 years, Karen Coopple has done more than teach reading, writing, and arithmetic. She has taught generations of children how to belong, contribute, and lead. From Pre-K to 8th grade, in Arizona, California, and Texas, she has built classrooms where every child understands that being part of a community means taking responsibility, caring for shared spaces, and helping others succeed. Her enduring philosophy proves that when children are trusted with meaningful roles, they rise to meet them.
That's four decades of helping children grow into capable, caring, and responsible people—a legacy that extends far beyond the classroom.
