About me
Hi! I am Andrew Ortiz, the Curriculum Coordinator for Jarrell ISD and a member of the Teacher & Learning Department. I am currently entering my third year with Jarrell ISD and my 30th year in education. Previously, I taught middle school English Language Arts for 19 years in both Charlotte, NC, and Round Rock ISD, worked as an ELA instructional coach for 2 years, and served as an assistant principal at two middle schools in Round Rock ISD for nearly 7 years. While in Charlotte, I also earned my National Board Certification. I absolutely love teaching writing, literature discussions, lesson planning, and finding unit resources. I am thrilled to be working with everyone at Jarrell ISD.
